MBP Part II

I have had the chance to sit down this morning and decide what I was going to do with my new laptop.

I’m doing the minimalist thing installing only the bare essential tools which I need, these are as follows:

• FileMaker 9 Advanced
• PHP5
• mySQL5
• Textmate (Macromates.com gift to the text editor)
• CocoaMySQL
• phpMyAdmin
• Adium
• Skype
• Parallels (with my WinXP image for XenCenter)

I’ve decided to leave all my old crap on my back drive (leave my old laptop for a week and see what I’m missing). All my old files are backed up, so that’s not too much of a worry).

There are a few other apps I will probably install, and some files to copy over, but for the time being that should be enough to get started with.
